GWM launches Galaxy Full of Cars at Kfm Galaxy Day 2026

An activation that brings GWM vehicles to life beyond the showroom

Johannesburg, 23 February 2026 . GWM  is set to ignite the energy at the Kfm Galaxy Day 2026 as the Official Vehicle Partner, bringing to life  Galaxy Full of Cars, a multi-platform activation designed to strengthen brand visibility, product consideration and cultural relevance across South Africa.

This partnership is about more than event presence; it represents a strategic opportunity for GWM South Africa to engage with a high-value, culturally influential audience in a setting where consumers can experience the vehicles first-hand. Galaxy Full of Cars moves the brand beyond traditional advertising into immersive, lifestyle-led engagement, turning awareness into real consideration. The activation provides a platform to showcase GWM’s model range, including the iconic HAVAL H6, HAVAL H7, Jolion Pro, P300 and TANK 300 , within environments that reflect how consumers live, travel and interact with mobility products. This experiential approach reinforces GWM as a modern, confident and design-led brand, while creating memorable moments that foster lasting connections.

Taking place on Saturday, 28 March 2026  at  Sandringham Farm in Stellenbosch, Kfm Galaxy Day is one of the Western Cape’s most anticipated lifestyle events. Gates open at  9 AM, with performances running from 11 AM to 7 PM, and the festival is expected to attract approximately  10 000 attendees. The event draws Kfm’s highly engaged, lifestyle-driven audience, offering GWM an ideal platform to strengthen its presence in the Western Cape market and connect meaningfully with consumers in a vibrant, shared environment. By integrating brand experiences into this setting, GWM can demonstrate its commitment to culture, design and mobility in a way that goes beyond conventional marketing.

A Galaxy Full of Cars, On Air and On the Ground

The activation spans radio, on-ground experiences and digital engagement, combining multiple touch points to maximise audience interaction. In the lead-up to the event, Kfm listeners will be guided through the GWM galaxy via weekly on-air segments, each highlighting a different vehicle and how it fits into everyday South African life. As part of this, GWM invites the audience to help celebrate everyday stars with the Galaxy Full of Cars competition.

Participants can send a WhatsApp voice note nominating a star in their life and explain why they deserve an unforgettable experience. Each day, the best nomination (both the nominator and their star) will be called live on air to share their story. Winners will receive 2x Kday hospitality tickets.

On festival day, the activation transforms Sandringham Farm into a curated GWM universe.
