GWM x Glacier Waterberg Traverse Competition
Terms and Conditions
Promoter
This competition is organised and promoted by GWM South Africa (“the Promoter”).
Competition Period
Entries to the competition open on 02 April 2026 and close on 10 April 2026.
Entries received before or after the stated competition period will not be considered.
Incomplete or invalid entries will not be considered.
Prize
The prize consists of 3 individual entries to the Glacier Waterberg Traverse, a 3-day mountain biking event taking place at Summerplace Game Reserve, Limpopo, from 1 to 3 May 2026.
Winners will receive:
● Entry into the event
● A tent for accommodation during the event
Winners are responsible for bringing their own essentials, including but not limited to bedding, clothing, cycling gear, and personal items.
The prize excludes travel, meals, bicycles, equipment, and any other costs associated with participation unless otherwise stated.
Eligibility
This competition is open to South African residents aged 18 years or older.
The event is suitable for both experienced and inexperienced mountain bikers; however, participants should be in adequate physical condition to take part in a multi-day cycling event.
Employees, agents, and contractors of the Promoter, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.
How to enter
To enter, participants must:
● Follow @gwmsouthafrica & @waterbergtraverse on the official social media platform where the competition post appears
● Like the competition post
● Comment on the post and tag two (2) people they would take along to the Glacier Waterberg Traverse.
Only one entry per person will be considered.
Winner selection & notification
Winners will be selected via a random draw from all valid entries.
Winners will be notified via direct message on the social media platform used to enter within 2 days after the competition closing date.
If a winner cannot be contacted after three (3) attempts, or does not claim the prize within 7 days, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Publicity
By entering this competition, participants agree that the Promoter may use their name, likeness, and submitted content for promotional and marketing purposes related to the competition without additional compensation.
General
The Promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the competition is final and binding.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition, if necessary, due to circumstances beyond its control.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not received, delayed, or incorrectly submitted.
This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, or Dryland.
Privacy
Any personal information collected during the competition will be used solely for the purpose of administering the competition and will not be shared with third parties unless necessary.
Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
