Reporting to: Network Development Manager
Job Purpose:
The Market Analyst / Performance Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights and performance analyses to support dealer network growth, market share improvement, and business planning. The role focuses on dealer scorecards, dealer performance reviews, Area of Responsibility (AOR) analyses, market intelligence, target setting, and executive reporting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring dealer performance against market potential, identifying opportunities for growth, and supporting strategic decision-making across the GWM dealer network.
Key Responsibilities:
Dealer Performance Management
● Develop, maintain and continuously improve dealer scorecards.
● Monitor and evaluate dealer sales performance against targets and market opportunity.
● Monitor and analyse dealer Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) performance across the dealer network.
● Track customer satisfaction trends and identify areas requiring improvement at dealer and regional level.
● Prepare SSI performance reports and provide recommendations to improve customer experience and dealer performance.
● Monitor sales funnel management performance across the dealer network, including lead allocation, response times, conversion rates and lead quality.
● Analyse sales leads to sale conversion performance and identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness.
● Develop and maintain lead management performance reporting and dashboards.
● Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual dealer performance reviews.
● Identify underperforming dealers.
● Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across the dealer network.
● Assist regional and network development teams with dealer performance analysis.
Market Share & AOR Analysis
● Monitor market share performance by dealer, region and franchise.
● Analyse Area of Responsibility (AOR) market potential and penetration.
● Measure dealer performance against available market opportunity.
● Conduct competitor and market intelligence analyses.
● Identify growth opportunities within existing and proposed dealer territories.
● Provide recommendations on network expansion, consolidation, and optimisation.
Target Setting & Forecasting
● Assist in the annual and monthly dealer target-setting process.
● Develop sales forecasts using historical data, market trends and economic indicators.
● Support business planning initiatives and strategic growth projects.
● Monitor target achievement and provide variance analyses.
● Assist management in establishing realistic and achievable dealer objectives.
Reporting & Business Intelligence
● Produce regular executive, regional and dealer performance reports.
● Develop dashboards and visual reporting tools.
● Analyse trends in:
○ Retail sales
○ Market share
○ Dealer profitability
○ Customer retention
○ Vehicle parc growth
● Prepare presentations for management meetings, dealer reviews and board reporting.
● Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting platforms.
Group & Dealer Network Analysis
● Prepare dealer group performance reports.
● Analyse multi-franchise and dealer group performance
● Monitor dealer ownership structures and network coverage.
● Support network planning and dealer investment evaluations.
● Assist with business case development for new dealer appointments and relocations.
Data Management
● Maintain dealer and market databases.
● Ensure accurate and timely reporting from multiple data sources.
● Improve reporting automation and efficiency.
● Support Power BI dashboard development and maintenance.
● Work closely with Sales and Network Development departments.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
● Dealer scorecards issued accurately and on time.
● Market share reporting accuracy.
● Dealer performance review completion.
● Forecast accuracy.
● Reporting turnaround times.
● Dashboard utilisation and effectiveness.
● Identification and implementation of performance improvement opportunities.
● Data integrity and reporting quality.
Experience:
● 3–5 years' experience in automotive OEM, dealer network management, sales operations, business intelligence or market analysis.
● Experience working with dealer performance data and market share analysis.
● Automotive industry experience will be highly advantageous.
● Experience working with large datasets and business reporting.
Technical Skills:
